My keyboard was working perfectly fine, but I after I ran a restart, it didn’t want to respond at all. Not one key was working (except the power button). I searched up all around the internet and there really was no fix, even the driver for a keyboard in device manager was absent, which left almost no room to work with. It was certaintly a software issue given that my keyboard has been in perfect condition, so I had the idea of just running back on a previous Windows version, so I set up a restore point and did just that, which had my keyboard working as always right away.

I’m still confused, now I know that it was the windows version that messed it up, but how and why? It completely erased the keyboard driver from the pc and in an instant. I’m assuming that when I restarted the pc, an already downloaded update installed and it messed the keyboard up. A very weird instance, at least to my point of view. Let me know what you think.

I keep rereading the Docker documentation to try to understand the difference between Docker and a full VM. How does it manage to provide a full filesystem, isolated networking environment, etc. without being as heavy?

Why is deploying software to a Docker image (if that’s the right term) easier than simply deploying to a consistent production environment?

the issue is the charger or rather the charge protocol:

The hub uses USB PD to communicate charge levels, which needs an USB-C plug on both sides of the charging cable to work.

The power brick the tab ships with is USB-A and uses the QuickCharge protocol to communicate the charge level, which the USB-C hub simply does not “speak”, and so the charging is set back to the smallest common denominator: default USB power levels, just 2.5W – 7.5W, so not much -> slow charging, as you’re experiencing.

You’d need to get any USB-C charger that actually has an USB-C plug on the power brick that can output at least 15W (more is no issue but also no benefits). There are really cheap ones available, I don’t have a suggestion, just look for something that supports USB PD.

Microphone wont recognize on new acer laptop

I’ve tried about everything from the basic making sure the the microphone is allowed for apps to trying to mess around with the sound settings, the control panel sound settings and seeing if any devices are disabled but my laptop keeps picking up the built in microphone instead of the microphone on my actual headphones.
I know the mic on the headphones work since I can use it on another acer laptop just fine but for some reason plugging it into this new one (specifically on discord) it says it cant pick up a microphone (I also changed my input devices but it still picks up my laptop mic instead of headphones) please help I think I’ve tried most google solutions including the checking if the audio driver is updated but I still cant figure out how to fix it our why it wont recognize my headphones mic
